Kenyan rapper Nyashinski has released a collabo with one third of Major Lazer trio: record producer Diplo and Danish singer, songwriter and record producer MØ. Their new song dubbed ‘Stay Open’ has an electric beat and has been trending since it was released. The three musical gurus were brought together by a music campaign being run by Tuborg, the Danish beer company. Ex Kakamega District Commissioner Paul Yatich’s estranged wife was on Tuesday found dead in her house at Kiplombe, Eldoret County. Loice Barsibet Yatich was reported missing by Mr Yatich after “vain attempts to reach her on the phone.” The curriculum support development officer is believed to have been sexually harassed before her killer(s) took her life. “The body had serious cuts on the shoulder. DCI detectives on Monday arrested a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier and a Kenya Methodist University (KeMU) student in connection to a kidnapping incident in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area. Private Mohamed Sharmake Abdi of Kahawa Barracks (No.95592) and Abdi Hamid Mohamed Abdi were apprehended alongside Abdikalif Mohammed Noor, Ahmed Abdullahi Abdi (driver of the vehicle) and a Salah Abdi. They are said to have abducted three people in a private car and demanded for Sh5,000 ransom for each of the victims. Rapper Nyashinski and Comedian Njugush were honored by Google during the Google for Kenya event held at KICC yesterday, by being awarded the YouTube silver plaque. Juja MP Francis Waititu says that about 63 members of the national assembly and the senate are suffering from cancer. “The situation is serious. We have for example about 63 MPs and thousands of other Kenyans suffering from cancer. We must get out and talk about it boldly.” he said. The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) on Monday extended Seefar Apartments demolition notice from 14 to 30 days. Edermann Property on Friday received a notice of demolition from NeMa and Water Resources Management Authority (WARMA) noting that the 12 storey building in Nairobi’s Nyayo Highrise estate sat on riparian land that the government is seeking to secure. Female nurses working at Kenyatta National Hospital’s orthopedic wing are complaining of sexual harassment from the male patients. The nurses say that the patients on the sixth floor of the hospital openly make sexual comments while some grab, shove or even threaten them.
