The Dr Fred Matiang’i led Interior Ministry has been ranked as the most prone to corruption ministry, closely followed by the Lands and Health ministries. The National Corruption Survey 2017 report, launched on Monday showed that corruption at the ministry has gone up from 45.7 percent in 2016 to 64.7 per cent. A third suspect in the gruesome murder of Monica Nyawira Kimani has been detained for 11 days pending investigations. Brian Kassaine will for the next few days be held at Lang’ata Police Station, Kiambu Principal Magistrate Justus Kituku has ordered. Controversial Kenyan film, Rafiki missed out on Oscars nomination soon after the court temporarily lifted the ban to allow the film air in commercial cinemas. Police detectives investigating the murder of 28 year old, Monica Kimani, have found a purse that is assumed to have belonged to the slain girl, in Jacque Maribe’s house. Jacque was arrested on Saturday, to be arraigned in court, after investigators found some documents, a wallet and a purse believed to belong to Monica Kimani, in the TV journalist’s house. Facebook was on Friday hacked and “digital tokens” stolen allowing the attackers to access over 50 million user accounts. The Chief executive Mark Zuckerberg’s account was affected alongside that of his Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg. “It’s clear that attackers exploited a vulnerability in Facebook’s code,” vice president of product management Guy Rosen said in a blog post.
