A 29 year old woman, Monica Nyawira Kimani, was found dead at her house in Luciane apartments on Kitale Lane, off Dennis Pritt road. Migori Governor Okoth Obado will reportedly spend the night in custody. Citizen reports that the county chief who was on Friday morning at the DCI headquarters for grilling will be formally charged with the murder of Sharon Otieno on Monday. An Oman Air in-flight attendant, Shekha Nassir Nasor has been mysteriously missing for the past two months, leaving her family asking hard questions about her whereabouts. Sheikha Nasssir, a 27-year-old, walked out from her family residence on 23 June, 2018 and has not come back since then. Fuel prices have dropped significantly after the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) reviewed the prices. Petrol will now retail at Ksh116 per litre from Ksh125 in Nairobi while Diesel and Kerosene will sell at Ksh108 per litre. Diesel was retailing at 115 while kerosene was retailing at Ksh98. Sharon Otieno escaped to Tanzania a couple of weeks before her murder, her mother Melida Auma has said. There was drama in the August House after Speaker Justin Muturi upheld the first vote passing the 8% fuel tax as proposed by President Uhuru Kenyatta. Tanzania’s MV Nyerere ferry plying Bugorora-Ukala Island route in Lake Victoria has capsized. On board were over 100 passengers when the ferry went down near Ukara Island. In a statement, the Tanzanian government has indicated that rescue operations are  ongoing. By 10 pm Thursday when the rescue operations were called off, 42 people had been confirmed dead.
