Uganda police on Thursday arrested Bobi Wine’s brother Eddie Yawe ahead of his arrival from the United States. Yawe, reports indicate was arrested under unclear circumstances while on his way to Entebbe Airport to receive his brother. The police on Wednesday said that only “immediate” family will be allowed to the airport. He is reportedly being detained at Entebbe Police Station. Police and EACC sleuths have been camping at former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero since 2 am, Thursday. They have allegedly been at his Nairobi home and are in search of documents in a graft case Kidero is involved in. According to the Nation the detectives are on the hunt for money. Speaking to Citizen TV on Wednesday, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko accused Kidero of stealing funds meant for Pumwani Maternity Hospital upgrade. Former Presidential candidate, Abduba Dida’s house in South C was raided on Wednesday by Police officers who found sex enhancing drugs and contraceptives among other things. The police say that they were tipped by a neighbor who noticed a high traffic of young people to and from the house. Six men and one woman were arrested in the raid as suspects of being involved in an unknown illegal activity. The system will incorporate facial recognition capability and will help in fast and accurate identification of suspects. The former Lugari MP was apprehended for allegedly failing to pay a Sh20 million debt owed to businessman Brian Yongo. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Monday invited members of his cabinet to a whiskey drinking session after raiding Pumwani Maternity Hospital.
