Mater Hospital is allegedly holding captive a Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) ranger’s remains over lack of funds. Eunice Musili lost her life three months ago while undergoing treatment at Mater Hospital leaving behind a huge hospital bill that the family is yet to pay. Ms Musili was taken to the facility by fellow KWS rangers who then abandoned her until her time of death. A senior principal administrative officer in the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) has been arrested for misappropriation of fuel consumption worth Sh7.9 million. William Ashael Osoro while appearing before chief magistrate Lawrence Mugambi of the Anti-Corruption Court denied the charges of stealing and abuse of office. Osoro was released on a Sh1.5 million bond or Sh600,000 bail and was asked to deposit his passport in court. But a traffic cop proved that they “are all not the same” after he threw away money handed to him by a Mwiki PSV driver on Friday morning. Dr Wandia Njoya, senior lecturer at Daystar University has taken on Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru for her persistent defence since the Ipsos Synovate poll which ranked her the second most corrupt leader in the country.
