    DR WANDIA NJOYA

Dr Wandia Njoya, senior lecturer at Daystar University has taken on Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru for her persistent defence since the Ipsos Synovate poll which ranked her the second most corrupt leader in the country.

Appearing on Citizen Tv’s JKL, Waiguru defended herself saying that there is no way she has “stolen” more than former President Daniel Moi who came in a close third in the poll.

The county boss posed questions like, “If I’m corrupt, why haven’t I been arrested?”, “If I’m corrupt, why aren’t Kenyans saying the same thing about other CSs in whose ministries money was stolen?” and “If I’m corrupt show me the evidence.”

But according to Dr Njoya, Waiguru could have unlike those who have been arrested, covered her tracks so well “it is difficult to pin you down.”

Dr Njoya also reckons that the former Devolution CS looks even more guilty every time she dares the public to prove that she has indeed dipped her hand in the public coffers.

Waiguru, while speaking to Jeff Koinange on Wednesday said that the Sh791 million NYS Scandal prime suspect Josephine Kabura was nothing but a pawn but refused to name the individual behind the grand scheme, something that the Daystar lecturer says does not help her case.

Njoya then points out coincidences that even further prove the governor’s guilt such as, she was in charge of IFMIS, the system through which money was looted and was installed by her brother-in-law, her friends received money from NYS which they paid back but without interest.

“Please just shut up. You’re harassing Kenyans with your tantrums, and yet we are the victims of the heist,” she complains.

Waiguru has maintained that she is innocent of all the allegations leveled against her and has since demanded that the DCI and EACC make public findings from Kabura’s affidavit.
