Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale was trolled on Twitter after he claimed that the late Vice President Kijana Wamalwa passed away 25 years ago. Wamalwa in fact passed on on August 23, 2003, making it 15 years since his untimely death in London. The Ugandan government has re-arrested Kyadondo MP Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine. The legislator had the military court martial withdraw treason and illegal possession of firearms charges before being transferred to police custody. According to Sheila Nduhukire, former NTV Uganda anchor, the MP’s lawyer Ssegona informed him of his arrest. “I’ve been told to inform you that you’re under arrest. Two suspects are being held in Kilimanjaro Police station for stealing a car that supposedly belongs to State House, Kenya. The car, a black Nissan V8 model, is said to be one of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s security escort. The car was intercepted at Bomang’ombe and was registered under fake Tanzanian number plate, T954 DEQ. The car was reported missing on August 19, by the Kenyan police, alerting their Tanzanian counterparts of the car theft. The original registration number is KCP 184R. The Nairobi County government on Wednesday demolished more than 30 private medical clinics, pharmacies and laboratories opposite the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital in Umoja Estate. The hospital superintendent Dr Musa Mohammed wrote a letter to the county government complaining about the facilities which he said have been disrupting normal operations at the hospital. Police on Wednesday arrested a man who has been parading under age children on social media bragging about having sexual encounters with them. The Wells Fargo employee, identified as William Hanga Mwazombo was apprehended following a tip off from the public. The Kenyatta family today commemorated the 40th anniversary since Mzee Jomo Kenyatta died. The family gathered at the Kenyatta mausoleum next to Parliament to pay their respects to the fallen hero. Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has suspended four top security and intelligence officers in West Nile sub-region over the August 13 chaos in Arua where one of the President’s bullet proofed convoy cars was stoned.
