Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Wednesday said he is ready to nominate Polycarp Igathe’s replacement. The governor has settled for former Nairobi County Woman Representative aspirant Karen Nyamu, former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru, Agnes Kagure and lawyer Jane Weru. A woman, Maurine, was beaten by her husband, Joseph Okoth Bonyo in a case of domestic violence in Seme, Kisumu County. Maurine was reportedly beaten by her husband, one of her eyes left completely blinded and her fingers chopped off. The story was shared by a man on Twitter who is familiar with the lady. He shared that Maurine had been admitted in hospital and released days later. A Kenyan woman was on Sunday found dead in Peoria, Arizona with a rope around her neck in her car. Stella Kiarie, 29, was an employee of the Arizona Department of Health Services before her untimely death. The tycoon, reports indicate meant to use the monies to bribe Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko for the approval of a hotel in Gigiri. Deputy President William Ruto on Friday lost another motorcycle escort along the Southern Bypass. Constable Eric Kamau Mburu died on the spot after losing control of his BMW motorcycle (GK B818Q). Reports indicate that the deceased was heading to Lang’ata and upon reaching the KeNHA weighbridge, he landed in a ditch. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has protested Chief Magistrate E.A Nyaloti’s order allowing hawkers to do business in the Central Business District (CBD). Sonko, unhappy with the order says that the county government will appeal against the order. “In as much as we respect the rule of law and the decision by the Honourable Chief magistrate, the county Government of Nairobi shall appeal against this decision which came to our attention yesterday in the evening,” the county boss said in a statement.
