Deputy President, William Ruto’s allies, led by Moses Kuria are calling for elections of new Jubilee party leaders.

In a Facebook post, Moses Kuria lamented how Jubilee is the only political party in Kenya with no space for politicians as party leaders.

“John Mbadi (ODM), Prof Kivutha Kibwana (Wiper) , Bonny Khalwale and Chris Wamalwa (Ford Kenya) are all party chairmen and active politicians. Time has come for Jubilee Party to open up space for political participation. Party elections are long overdue.” he said.

Jubilee is currently being led by Raphael Tuju as the Secretary General, Chairman Nelson Dzuya and David Murathe as the Deputy Chairman.

Both Raphael Tuju and David Murathe are not active in politics but have major influence in Jubilee party.

This post comes in the wake of rumors going around of the divide in Jubilee party.

DP Ruto’s camp is also worried that he is going to be betrayed come 2022.

The call for elections has been supported by other Jubilee leaders who feel that it is long overdue.

Fresh elections were supposed to be held 90 days after the general elections but that never happened.

“The Jubilee Party should hold elections as soon as possible. We owe it to our party members,” Kericho senator Aaron Cheruiyot told one of the dailies.

Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino on Monday put up a controversial post on his Instagram about how Uhuru will betray his Deputy William Ruto but later removed it.
