Coincidentally, he shares a stage name with Kenya’s own Alex Nderi of Capital FM. Nderi sadly passed away on Wednesday at the Nairobi Hospital after collapsing in the office. Capital FM’s Alex Nderi alias DJ Lithium has died. The disc jockey breathed his last yesterday evening at Nairobi hospital after taking a poisonous substance while at the Capital FM offices located at Lonrho House. According to those privy to the details, the deejay’s lifeless body was discovered at the radio station’s IT Department offices. Ten Kenya Power company officials have been detained for eight more day. The suspects were arrested on Tuesday in connection with claims of sabotaging electricity supply that affected most parts for two consecutive days in the past week. A businessman has been charged with obtaining over Sh1 million from three people under the pretense that he could book them return tickets to Bolivia. Peter Denis Bwire who was arrested on Friday is said to have obtained Sh1,302,000 from the trio knowing he did not have the means to process two-way travel air tickets. A family in Wundanyi, Taita Taveta is seeking funds to help ship the remains of their loved one who died in Saudi Arabia. Holiness Wawuda, 52, died on October 10, 2021 while in police custody in Riyadh. Police have denied claims that bodies retrieved from River Yala are a recent occurrence. In a statement on Wednesday, National Police Service (NPS) spokesperson Bruno Shioso said 19 bodies have been retrieve from the river in the past 2 years. “In the last two years, 19 incidences involving human bodies that have been found dumped in River Yala, have been reported to the National Police Service. On Sunday, worshipers of the ACK St. John Gichami church in Othaya, Nyeri County, held a protest against Archdeacon John Gachau’s dismissal due to his marital status. A woman on Sunday took her own life after poisoning her two children at Kaitika village in Kakuzi, Ithanga sub-county, Murang’a county.
