Three buses ferrying NASA supporters from Mombasa to Nairobi have been released after they were intercepted at Voi at around 3am. Voi OCPD, Joshua Chesire said that the three vehicles were impounded over ‘traffic offenses’ but have since been allowed to make their way to Nairobi. ”In the buses there were 82 passengers who also had not adhere to traffic rules. The police arrested Blogger, Cyprian Nyakundi’s relatives, took them to Kamukunji Police Station and then moved them to an unknown location, Kahawa Tungu has learnt. At least 20 police officers are said to have stormed Nyakundi’s home between 10 and 12pm and taken into custody five of his relatives who they accused of stealing his car. Kenya Network Information Centre (KeNIC), charged with the management and administration of dot ke country code domain is allegedly running a scam through false domain allocation. Leading the scam is the Assistant systems administrator, Brian Nyali, Elly Kadenyo (senior system admin) and Maureen Akinyi (marketing and communications manager). The con is allegedly being run by a committee comprised of senior members from every department and is sometimes chaired by the CEO, Abdalla Omari. A letter doing rounds on the internet claiming that the government has declared a curfew in Nairobi county, is fake, the government has said. In the letter dated January 29, Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co-ordination of National Government, Fred Matiang’i imposed curfew on areas ‘comprised in Nairobi County’ starting January 29 at 10.00pm till January 30 at 6.00pm. Schools will be required to paint their school buses with specific colour codes, the Ministry of Education has announced. According to a circular dated January 25, schools will have to use chrome and unleaded paint.
