Pambazuka National Lottery (PNL) on Sunday suspended its operations in Kenya over the 35 per cent tax imposed by the government. Nairobi’s B-Club and Space Lounge clubs were on Friday night shut down by the county government. The two high end clubs located in Nairobi’s Kilimani area will remain closed after area residents complained of ‘too much noise.’ According to Capital FM, the management had received numerous orders to reduce the noise, all of which they ignored. ”The complaints were streaming in every day and we had no option but to order them shut,” a county official said, adding that more clubs will face closure following a directive from Governor Mike Sonko. The National Disaster Management Authority wants Tahmeed bus company suspended after one of its drivers was caught on tape overspeeding on Mombasa Road. The authority’s assistant director, Pius Masai wants the driver of the bus, REG NO. Strathmore University lecturer, Dr Fredrick Ogola’s wife, Margaret Gobi Mwachongo did not have physical injuries on her person, autopsy has revealed. Bandari FC team manager, Alfred Obwaka died at his home on Wednesday night after the Chelsea versus Arsenal derby. Obwaka was watching the game at his Majengo home with the team’s technical staff and his wife when he complained of pain in the lower abdomen. A Strathmore University lecturer was on Wednesday morning arraigned at the Kibera Law courts after he allegedly beat his wife to death. Fredrick Onyango Ogola, according to Nairobi Police Commander, Japheth Koome was in a heated argument with his wife, Margaret Gobi Mwachongo before things took a turn for the worst. ”She was taken to hospital to hospital unconscious after that evening fight (December 31) but she succumbed to her injuries,” Mr Koome said.
