Kenya Airways has sacked 140 technical staff who went on a go slow after the management unceremoniously scrapped a regrading system. The employees went on a go slow on Tuesday morning in what the COO, Jan de Vegt referred to as an ‘illegal industrial action in contravention of the Labour Relations Act.’ Staffers had been warned against participating in any form of unlawful industrial action but did not heed to the warning. Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Thika Branch grand heist that made headlines in the past week was orchestrated by two high scholars and A students from the Nyeri High School. The brothers; Halford Munene Murakaru (UON- electrical and electronics engineering graduate) and Charles Mwangi Murakaru (JKUAT- agricultural engineering graduate) hail from a small village in Mathira constituency, Nyeri county. The Consumer Federation of Kenya (COFEK) has launched a petition seeking to have President Uhuru Kenyatta fire Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet. 15 students from Turbo Boys Secondary School were on Monday night arrested for trying to storm Sugoi Girls’ for sexual escapades. The boys will write their final KCSE examinations from the police cells. NASA leader Raila Odinga is the ‘beneficiary of deaths’ witnessed in the country so far, political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has said. On Tuesday, a seven year old boy, Geoffrey Mutinda was killed while playing on their balcony in Nairobi’s pipeline estate.
