NASA leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday alleged that the just concluded election was a sham and that only 3.5 million people turned up to vote. National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) has proposed expansion of the Executive arm of the government. The NCCK has asked that the government creates a Prime Minister, two deputies and official leader of the opposition posts. They say the posts will ensure a more inclusive government. Transcend Media, a communications agency, has sued the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for failing to pay Sh150 million in advertising during the 2013 elections. The media company that has foot prints in eight countries in Africa also wants commission’s CEO, Ezra Chiloba jailed. According to the case filed at the Milimani Courts, the media agency wants Chiloba jailed for contempt of court. IEBC vice chairperson, Consolata Nkatha has said that the commission will on Monday afternoon announce the final tally of the presidential results. Ms Nkatha said that the winner of the polls will be declared at 3.30 pm. She invited all the presidential candidates at the BOMAS of Kenya for the declaration of the President elect. Kandara MP, Alice Wahome has been called in for questioning by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for assaulting an IEBC official on Friday. Ms Wahome has been asked to appear before the DCIO Kandara on Monday. The legislator is said to have assaulted the Kandara returning officer, Martin Malonza over changes to form 34B. Eldoret Catholic Diocese Bishop Cornelius Kipng’eno arap Korir is dead. The Bishop died on Monday while undergoing treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital after a short illness. The 67 year old was born at Segutiet Bomet District, Kericho Diocese. The deceased was ordained Bishop on June 2, 1990. Bishop Cornelius founded the Upendo FM radio station. Jubilee officials in Shinyalu have been receiving threats ever since they cast their ballots on October 26, Benedict Sabala has revealed. Kandara MP, Alice Wahome has said that she will not respond to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) allegations. Ms Wahome was caught on tape harassing the constituency Returning Officer Martin Malonza. IEBC called for her arrest. One person has died in Bungoma town after police clashed with protesters on Friday. The protesters were demonstrating against the fresh elections that took place on Thursday, 26 October but were rescheduled to Saturday, 28 October in Migori, Siaya, Kisumu and Homa Bay counties.
