A Ugandan court clerk was on Thursday suspended from work by the Public Service Permanent Secretary, Josephine Muwonge for ‘indecent dressing.’ Rosemary Namuwanga was relieved of her duties as a clerk and interpreter at the Kasangati Magistrate Court in Wakiso. According to Daily Monitor, Rosemary went against the public service standing order. “Muwonge faulted Namuwanga for defying public service standing order by dressing in a manner that does not portray a good image of the judiciary and public service image,” the agency said. Supreme Court Judge, Justice Isaac Lenaola has sued the Standard Media Group over the ‘Damning Petitions Link Lenaola and Mwilu to NASA Lawyers’ article published on Tuesday, 19, 2017. The judge is suing the media group for defamation and injurious falsehood and harassment. The petition filed by Derrick Malika sought to have the judge removed from office. Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has told off Attorney General Githu Muigai critics. The AG on Friday said that there is no room in the constitution for a transitional government should the elections not be held within the 60 days as is stipulated in the constitution. “There is no room for the creation of any other form of government. A top Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) official has offered to retire from the commission a day after the detailed Supreme Court judgement on Wednesday. COTU Secretary General, Francis Atwoli is unhappy about Kenya Airways (KQ) CEO, Sebastian Mikosz’s latest attempt to hire five new executives from his home country, Poland. A hospital building in Kapsabet on Thursday collapsed, injuring three children and an adult who have been rushed to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital. There are believed to be people still trapped in the three rubble. The county government had reportedly warned that the three storey building was not stable. Chief Justice David Maraga has thrown out Thirdway Alliance Presidential candidate, Ekuru Aukot’s petition. France based IT firm, O.T Morpho has said that it still does not have a contract with the IEBC to provide IT assistance in readiness for the repeat elections slated for October 17.
