NASA has after holding a Parliamentary group meeting at their Okoa Kenya offices on Wednesday resolved to stay away from both houses of Parliament. The opposition has said that its elected MPs and Senators will not take part in the formation of key house committees. According to them, the house as is constituted is illegal. Women trapped in the Kisumu hotel attacked on Wednesday morning by rowdy youths have been rescued by the police. Over 200 women were in Jumuia Hotel in the morning for an inter-religious meeting dubbed ‘Nyanza Women of Faith’ but were said to have been undertaking a vote buying exercise. Kisumu youths have on Wednesday stormed Jumuia Hotel after receiving information of voter buying taking place in the premises. The rowdy youths are said to have turned tables and destroyed laptops found in the Anglican Church owned hotel. Tundu Lissu, a Tanzanian Mp who was shot last week has contracted a life threatening chest infection at the Aga Khan Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. The Tanzanian legislator is said to have been put on a life support machine following the infection.
