NASA coalition on Friday started a fundraiser meant to raise money for the presidential campaigns that officially kicked off on 6 September ending 15 October. According to the coalition’s presidential candidate, Raila Odinga the funds raised through Mpesa paybill number 991444 would be equivalent to buying ones ticket to the promised land, Canaan. NASA principal, Raila Odinga on Friday revealed that some of the IEBC Commissioners have had their security details withdrawn by the state. Speaking at the Okoa Kenya Offices, Odinga said that the commissioners were allegedly being threatened by state agencies. Kenya Airways (KQ) will be offering direct flights to the United States after it was issued with a Foreign Air Carrier permit. The national carrier has been allowed to engage in scheduled and charter foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail from any point in Kenya directly to the US by the the US Department of Transportation. According to the Director Brian Hedberg, the permit takes effect on 5 September, 2017. Africa’s Talking, a mobile technology firm is receiving Shs. 619 Million worth of investment from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for its expansion in Africa. Speaking to the Business Daily, CEO Africa’s Talking, Bilha Ndirangu said that IFC would help the tech company move beyond the current markets where it has a presence. “What we are looking for is to continue expansion into Africa and to expand our product offering,” Ms Ndirangu said.
