Safaricom Suspends Mpesa Services For Systems Upgrade

mpesaSafaricom Mpesa services will be unavailable this weekend for a systems upgrade.

According to the telecommunications company, the upgrade will start on Saturday 9 September at 10 pm all the way to Sunday at 1 pm.

“We are on a journey to continue to enrich your M-Pesa experience. This is why we shall be upgrading our system starting Saturday 9th September 2017 at 10pm and will complete on Sunday 10th September 2017 at 1pm.

“During this period, all M-Pesa services will remain unavailable.”

The upgrade started in July and is meant to to enrich the customers Mpesa experience and will see some features automated, hence reducing the need for the customers to make requests at the busy call centre.

“Safaricom has put in place measures to ensure a smooth transition during the upgrade, which will provide our customers and partners with more features and capabilities in the future,” said Mr Collymore.
