Meru Governor elect, Kiraitu Murungi has suspended top county officials to pave way for financial audit and human resource audit. Those affected are all county executives, acting county secretary, County public service board chairman,chief officers, sub county administrators, town administrators and ward administrators. Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko on Tuesday suspended the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company board over a week long strike. Speaking at their Kampala Offices, the governor stopped the board members from transacting business on behalf of the organization. The police have in their custody Richard Nyakina who is believed to have murdered his Facebook girlfriend in Mutuini, Dagoretii. Richard was apprehended by the Special Crime Prevention Unit for killing Lydia Nyaboke, 26. According to Japhet Mogeni, Lydia’s brother, the lovebirds met on Facebook a while back and on July 23 decided to meet up in Nairobi. Mavoko Deputy Returning Officer, Onesmus kaloki was on Monday arrested for allegedly trying to bribe Maendeleo Chap Chap party agents into handing over copies of forms 34A. The IEBC official was arrested by DCI officers at a hotel in Mlolongo town. He is said to have been after copies of presidential and governor results forms. Family Bank on Tuesday temporarily put on hold the provision of afternoon tea for its employees in order to cut back on costs. The Jubilee Administration is allegedly putting pressure on NASA candidates who were rigged out of elections to concede defeat to their Jubilee opponents.
