Teachers have through the KNUT Chairman, Mudzo Nzili denied endorsing NASA presidential flag bearer, Raila Odinga. The union’s Secretary General, Wilson Sossion had allegedly endorsed Raila and was said on being in ODM’s list of nominated members of parliament. “National steering committee and national executive council have not declared anything for teachers or support for NASA,” he said. The police have denied that 30 police officers raided the NASA tallying centre on Friday night. A Kenyan man and two Ugandans were arrested in Uganda over possible involvement in the murder of IEBC ICT manager, Chris Msando. The Kenyan was identified as Mathew Butia. The other two were identified as Joseph Okongo and Moses Goloba. The Ugandan Flying squad is said to have trailed the trio and taken into custody a car they were traveling in. The police were tipped off on Monday hence the trailing. NASA presidential tallying centre located at the Sifa Towers was raided by armed men on Friday night. The men were armed with AK47 rifles and are said to be around 30 in number. The 8 pm raid saw NASA employees who are mostly college students lie on the floor while the men ravaged the place. They took away their phones, notebooks and national identity cards. They allegedly also broke down and took with them the surveillance cameras, desktop computers, computer servers, ipads and laptops. Reports have it that 15 policemen were seen roughing up two of the observers at their Westlands apartment along Raphta road. The two foreigners were taken from their apartment and their whereabouts are unknown. There was chaos in Mombasa after Governor Hassan Joho and Senator Hassan Omar’s supporters clashed at Tononoka grounds. Joho’s supporters allegedly tried to block the senator from getting on stage. NGO Coordination Board Executive Director, Fazul Mahamed said the organization unauthorized bank accounts involved in political activities. “Your organisation has breached terms and conditions by opening and operating unauthorised bank accounts,” he said. Bishop Gilbert Deya has been extradited to Kenya for child trafficking. He is wanted in the country on five counts of abducting babies, illegally registering them and trafficking them to the United Kingdom.
