Five bodies including that of a woman were on Monday evening found in a shallow grave in Bambo, Mandera County. The victims had been missing for five days and appeared to have been strangled to death except one that had a bullet would In the head. The bodies were discovered on Sunday, July 3, between Gari and Bambo area of Lafey sub-county. According to reports, the five, had been abducted from Fino, by people who claimed to be Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) detectives. Mombasa First lady Madina Hassan Joho, over the weekend turned 28. The very private first lady had a lavish birthday party at her grand home in Mombasa. Madina is half-Italian and can speak up to seven languages. The stunning 28 year old was treated to four different cakes and presents from family and friends. A 34-year-old man committed suicide on Sunday evening at his home in Katalel, Keiyo North. He is said to have jumped into a borehole barely two weeks after his wife gave birth to twins. Rescue efforts were underway but he had already passed away. Katalel West assistant chief Luka Ruto said the man may have decided to take his own life after it became difficult to provide for the twins. “He jumped into a borehole in his compound. There was tension in Mathare over the weekend as two rival groups clashed . The two groups, both affiliated to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) are believed to have started the fights in Mathare Area 4. This was after a court ordered a repeat of the area’s ODM primaries. The Dubai growth market investment company, Abraaj Group  has announced that it’s buying 100% of Java House Group from from private equity firm Emerging Capital Partners (ECP), and the Company’s founder and chairman, Kevin Ashley. Founded in Dubai in 2002 by Arif Naqvi, the investment group has grown to have a total asset base of more than $10 billion.
