A second deadly explosion has struck Baghdad, killing at least seven people and wounding 30, according to security sources and witnesses. The blast at Al-Shahada Bridge came hours after a suicide car bomber in the Karrada district killed at least 15 people and wounded dozens who were gathered at an ice cream shop. Manuel Noriega, Panama’s former dictator, has died aged 83. His death was announced by the president of the central American country on Twitter. Juan Carlos Varela tweeted: “The death of Manuel A Noriega closes a chapter in our history; his daughters and their families deserve to bury him in peace.” A source close to Noriega’s family confirmed his death to the Associated Press. Noriega was put into an induced coma in March after undergoing brain surgery. Unmarried couples have until the end of the year to legalize their relationships, Burundi government has said, as part of an effort to reform morals in the country. The order follows the launch of a campaign this month by President Pierre Nkurunziza “to moralise society” where he urges Burundians to show their love for each other and their country by getting married. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Monday declined to clear presidential aspirant Justus Juma of the Justice and Freedom Partly (JFP) pending correction of anomalies in crucial documents. Jambojet will now start flying sixteen new routes in Africa. The budget carrier had earlier announced that it had applied for a license to fly international starting next year. Jambojet received a one year license from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), through a gazette notice on Friday. It will now fly the following routes from the JKIA: Entebbe, Addis Ababa, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro, Mwanza, Kigali, Juba, Bujumbura, Hargeisa, Mogadishu, Goma, Kisangani and Moroni. President Uhuru Kenyatta will today submit his nomination papers to the electoral commission as he campaigns for a second term in office. A memorial service in remembrance of the late Ivan Semwanga’s was yesterday held at  his South African palatial home as friends and relatives bid farewell to the fallen hero as its a custom practiced mainly in the African communities. According to the police, several terror suspects behind the attacks within Mandera County have been arrested. Ahmed Abdi Yare, who is a high-ranking Al-Shabaab explosives expert and is also one of the suspects, is said to be helping in the probe. A deadly inferno broke out at Infil Academy in Komorock on Friday, May 26. According to area residents, the fire broke out at dawn as the pupils prepared for classes. One child aged five died during the rescue operation. The child is said to belong to the school’s matron who was part of the rescue team. Area residents managed to save pupils from the raging fire before firefighters from the Nairobi City County Fire Department arrived. The plane carrying Uhuru and his entourage departed Jomo Kenyatta International Airport shortly before 7:00 am on Friday.
