A second deadly explosion has struck Baghdad, killing at least seven people and wounding 30, according to security sources and witnesses. Manuel Noriega, Panama’s former dictator, has died aged 83. His death was announced by the president of the central American country on Twitter. Juan Carlos Varela tweeted: “The death of Manuel A Noriega closes a chapter in our history; his daughters and their families deserve to bury him in peace.” A source close to Noriega’s family confirmed his death to the Associated Press. Noriega was put into an induced coma in March after undergoing brain surgery. According to the police, several terror suspects behind the attacks within Mandera County have been arrested. Ahmed Abdi Yare, who is a high-ranking Al-Shabaab explosives expert and is also one of the suspects, is said to be helping in the probe. A deadly inferno broke out at Infil Academy in Komorock on Friday, May 26. According to area residents, the fire broke out at dawn as the pupils prepared for classes. One child aged five died during the rescue operation. The child is said to belong to the school’s matron who was part of the rescue team.
