A Kenyan born nurse has died under unclear circumstances in Texas, US. The healthcare provider has been identified as Beatrice Danielle Dagosi Ogutu. She was found dead inside her car at a parking lot in Dallas, Texas on August 21. 1,258 people have tested positive for Covid-19, from a sample size of 9,868 tested in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate is now 12.8%, Ministry of Health has confirmed. Total confirmed positive cases are now 232,052 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 2,336,466. From the cases, 1,203 are Kenyans while 55 are foreigners. 647 are females while 611 are males. The youngest is a six-month-old baby while the oldest is 98. Police are searching for an armed prison warder who is allegedly hunting for his wife. The warder, identified as Edwin Omuse, and stationed at Kangeta Prison in Meru is said to have been spotted at a local shopping centre with a G3 rifle concealed in a sack. A toddler has died after ingesting what is believed to have been a poisonous substance. The child’s mother and 12-year-old brother are fighting for their lives at the Eagles Hospital in Kangemi.
