Nairobi governor Mike Sonko is now demanding an apology from the Star publication, following a story they published alleging that he is HIV positive. Sonko, through his lawyer Cecil Miller, gave the Radio Africa-owned publication to publish an apology or face litigation. The Nairobi County chief wants the Star retract the story, and publish an apology in words acceptable to him and given similar prominence to the initial publication. The man, Abdirzak Yusuf Adow, is said to have been captured by CCTV footage near and within Malik Heights building, carrying a jerrycan believed to have been containing fuel. Alhusnain motors limited are reported to have lost vehicles worth Ksh600 million in the business complex Malik Heights along Ngong Road fire. Some of the cars lost in the inferno include the latest models of Lexus, Toyota Prado and Mercedes Benz. It is reported that the fired started at around 8pm, with several explosions being witnessed. The Integrated Financial Management and Information System (IFMIS) portal and other government-related websites have been hacked by an Indonesian hacker group, Kurd Electronic Team. The portal was hacked this morning with the hackers placing their logo on the landing page, indicating that they had taken control of the site. All the hacked websites are on servers powered by the Unix-based FreeBSD operating system. Previously, hackers have targeted the Central Bank of Kenya and other websites. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has plans to hand medical insurance cover tender to Jubilee Insurance through uncouth means, Kahawa Tungu can reveal. According to a letter written to anti-graft agencies in our possession, the deal was hammered in boardrooms and high-end hotels with IEBC officials pocketing millions from the deal.
