The late Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen’s wife, Sarah Wairimu, has objected the release of the deceased’s remains to his sister, Gabriele Cohen. Through her lawyer, Phillip Murgor, Ms Wairimu asserted that she is the legal wife of the deceased and should, therefore, be the one to receive the remains of her husband for interment. A 25-year-old teacher is nursing stab wounds after her rogue husband stormed classroom and attacked her, leaving pupils screaming for help. The High Court has allowed Sarah Wairimu to be present during her late estranged husband Tob Cohen’s postmortem at Chiromo mortuary. The court made the ruling on Wednesday morning ahead of the procedure that is scheduled for later in the day. The autopsy, which was initially scheduled for Tuesday, had to be postponed after lawyers rejected government pathologist Peter Ndegwa. A family in Njoro Sub-county, Nakuru County is living in devastation after their son who once served in the KDF became mentally ill after a mission in Somalia. In his statement issued on Tuesday, the county chief sacked Transport CEC Engineer Hillary Koech, Lands CEC Stanley Baliach, and Education CEC Valentine Chumo. Another G4S security employee has been arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in connection to the Ksh72 million heist. Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris was on Monday admitted at the Aga Khan Hospital. Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) is set to probe the death of Baby Dan Githinji after a shooting incident by a police officer. According to the authority’s chairperson, Anne Makori, Section 25(1) of the IPOA Act requires them to investigate any death or serious injury caused by police action hence the move to take up the case.
