The recent industrial action that was carried out by aviation workers union members at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) not only caused disruption but also left thousands of passengers stranded. Two days after the strike, JKIA is facing a new challenge of fuel shortages, forcing planes operating from the airport to fuel from JKIA to fuel in neighboring countries. Trade Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya has been sued for contempt of court by Former Export Processing Zone (EPZ) Chief Executive Officer Fanuel Odede. In an application filed on Thursday by the former boss, the CS has been sued for failing to obey court orders that instructed him to pay the former EPZ boss his pending four-month salary. Kevin Kunga Mwaka was on Wednesday charged in a Milimani court with electronic theft of more than Ksh294 million. The 24-year old man was charged for fraudulently and with intent to steal, interfered with data in Family Bank’s banking system by altering 22 prepaid card balances involving Ksh 294,800,003. Two police officers died on Monday morning following an accident that happened at Waa area on the Likoni-Lunga Lunga highway in Kwale County. The accident occurred after a tuk-tuk carrying the two officers collided head-on with a 14-seater heading to Lunga-Lunga.
