Two police officers have been arrested in connection with the death of a two-year-old boy in Kasarani, Nairobi County. The officers, who are based at Maziwa Police Station, are accused of shooting baby Dan Githinji on Sunday evening at Soweto slum in Kahawa West. Residents in Vihiga County were shocked after a secondary school teacher committed suicide by setting himself ablaze in his house. According to police, who have launched investigations into the case, his suicide is a suspected case of depression. A family in Kahawa West is in mourning after a police officer shot dead their two-year-old baby at a chang’aa den where he was playing. According to Citizen Digital, the officer was alongside his colleagues who had been dispatched to the Soweto area to arrest the chang’aa sellers. Gospel rapper Patrick Kagaba alias Kamlesh Kagaba was released on Sunday night from Karen Police Station in Nairobi. Kamlesh was arrested at his garage in Kikuyu on Friday, September 6 after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations reported that a vehicle believed to have been used in committing the heist was found there. Gospel musician and rapper, Juliani, has raised concerns about a gospel artist who has been arrested in connection with the Ksh72 million stolen money. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested two police officers over the stolen Ksh72 million G4S, StanChart ATM heist. According to the detectives, Constable Chris Ayienda Machogu of the Administration Police (AP) was found in possession of Ksh4 million. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have found the getaway vehicle used in the Ksh72 million heist from G4S personnel as well as a Standard Chartered Bank ATM. Through her lawyer Enricah Dulo, the mother of the two-month-old has noted that Itumbi deserted the child from the time of its birth.
