The disgraced former chairman of the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission Bethwel Kiplagat passed away on Friday, July 14, at the Nairobi Hospital. He had been ill for sometime. Kiplagat was the chairman of TJRC which was mandated to investigate and report on causes of conflicts and gross human rights violations in the country between 1963 to 2008. The newly launched Mombasa – Nairobi train service is facing few challenges. One of them seems to be communications as all others are expected to happen in anything which is operated by human beings. The Mombasa to Nairobi is reportedly stuck at Kibwezi without a clear explanation or even communication from the operators to the passengers on board.
