By Caroline Mutoko We live in very interesting times. My eyebrows went up with every piece of breaking news – they are now in the middle of my head:-) 1. Three IEBC presiding officers in Rongai Constituency were charged in a Nakuru court with concealing ballot boxes & papers at their respective stations. 2. Meanwhile, the ICC dropped all charges against Francis Muthaura. 3. We also learnt that CORD will be going to court. I echo Martha Karua who said challenging the results would help “audit the electoral process” and strengthen areas in which IEBC may have failed. I have…

NOTE from a source at CORD: On the excel sheet please note the following: 1. The Entries in the Columns for Valid Votes and Votes Cast for each constituency should come directly from the Form 36 2. However, the entries have been summed up as follows: – Valid Votes (Sum of Results of all the candidates) – Votes Cast (Sum of Valid Votes + Rejected Votes) 3. The Valid Votes and Votes Cast is a legal entry on Form 36, 34 and others 4. These numbers should be inputed directly from the Form 36…
IEBC chairman has gone on record admitting that their systems were compromised. IEBC chairman in an address to the public at around 6PM admitted that there was a code in the system which was multiplying rejected votes by 8. That revelation is kind of implicating and confirming the allegations that the IEBC system was hacked. How did the rogue line of code which was multiplying results by 8, entered? Who was responsible? You cannot have a code which is not doing the right thing in a system which was supposedly tested by the commission. It means that someone installed an…
Safaricom’s Nzioka Waita was at pains last night trying to make me look like I created the mess they are having with the IEBC in the Results Transmission System (RTS). Nzioka deviated from the official paths without provocations calling me names and desperately trying to say that IEBC is PERFECT, Safaricom is PERFECT and I am the problem. First his history, after campus, Nzioka Waita joined Safaricom. He has worked NOWHERE else and is not well informed as he might want you to believe. He is not even aware of what technically happens when Safaricom say they have deployed a…
Looks like Uhuru Kenyatta has recruited bloggers to do for him the dirty online propaganda work. Some of the bloggers running propaganda for Uhuru are Dennis Itumbi (both on personal blog and Daily Post), Bogonko Bosire (Jackal News and Daily Post), Samuel Majani (Ghafla) among others. I don’t really have a problem with politicians recruiting bloggers but I have a problem on what they do with that opportunity. No politician will ever recruit me to do for him/her dirty work. I just won’t do it. It is not my nature. I like speaking my mind so even joining a cause…
There is a lady who appeared on the Tujuane show which airs in Friday on KTN. The lady is named Susan on the episode. Tujuane (let’s know each other) is a dating show. The lady appeared as a date to a “George”. Susan claim that she is from the more affluent part of Nairobi while George is from Eastlands part of Nairobi. httpv://youtu.be/ow0IA98ldXc But Susan does not convince even the more affluent Nairobians that she is one of them. She comes out as overbearing, condescending arrogant, ignorant and cheap all wrapped in one. She calls George cheap, pathetic among other negative adjectives. Kenyans…
So Google decided to claim attention from Kenyans by actually doing nothing apart from aggregating Google+, YouTube and Google News links from Kenyan media into one page. There is nothing much to boast of from what Google is offering. It is still mainly the usual shallow Google News offerings. I say “shallow” because news delivery has gone beyond few mainstream media houses in Africa. Blogs and other social media platforms are now more reliable than many of our mainstream media channels. So some innovative young Kenyan minds have launched Election Kenya. The platform is a crowd-sourced web-based content app delivering news not only…

Now ZTE wants to institute contempt of court and defamation charges against the Civil service boss. Kimemia cancelled the tender over graft and exaggerated costs claims. Jimmy Kimmel is an American TV host. He did a show where he had Kenyans in Kenya read tweets from American celebrities. Kenyans, especially those on Twitter, were so angered with Jimmy for claiming that Kenyans do not have access to the internet. So some Kenyans in the USA flew to Las Vegas and had Americans read tweets from Kenyan celebrities. Watch below; httpv://youtu.be/1vBzqwT_xBk Funny. Isn’t it? Leave your comments below.
