A 30-year-old man was found murdered on Wednesday and his body abandoned on the roadside in Ombeyi, Miwani area, Kisumu County. It emerged that Alan Jackson would no longer represent Nick Reiner during a court hearing, though the attorney said afterwards that he believed his now-former client was innocent. British armed forces supported the US seizure of a Russian-flagged oil tanker in the North Atlantic on Wednesday, the Ministry of Defence has said. Two Kenyan police officers are among five people who were arrested by Tanzanian authorities at the Horohoro area in Tanzania after attempting to apprehend a suspect on the neighbouring country’s soil. A section of prison warders were left homeless after a fire burnt down their houses in Meru Main Prisons. The fire started from one of the affected houses before spreading faster to others. Authorities said six semi-permanent structures were burnt down. The fire broke out on Tuesday January 6 at night. The warders whose houses were affected said they lost property of unknown value. Detectives are investigating the murder of a woman aged 80 whose body was found in a ditch full of water after she went missing in a village in Maralal, Samburu County.
