An arrest warrant issued for Nigeria’s former oil minister Timipre Sylva by the country’s anti-corruption agency is politically motivated, his spokesperson has said. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has accused Sylva and others of diverting around $15m (£11m) of public funds intended for the construction of an oil refinery. A 15-year-old boy died after he had been assaulted by his friends at a party in Nambo village, Usenge, Siaya County. Police said the incident happened on Monday November 10, 2025. The body of a 14-year-old boy was found on the roadside after his murder in Njoro, Nakuru County. Police said the body was discovered on Monday November 10, 2025, a day after he went missing. A 65-year-old woman was found dead after she had attacked and seriously wounded her three grandchildren in a village in Kipipiri, Nyandarua County. The woman identified as Esther Wanjiku is believed to have died by suicide. The motive was not immediately known. A burglary suspect died after falling from a roof of a shop he and his accomplices were stealing in Kehancha, Migori County. Police said they responded to screams of a shop attendant who said four suspected thieves were in his shop after dismantling the roof on Monday. The responding team fired to the air to scare the gang prompting three of them to escape.
