Starbucks says it is selling a 60% stake in its business in China as part of a $4bn (£3.04bn) deal with investment firm Boyu Capital. Kimberly-Clark announced Monday it’s struck an agreement to buy Kenvue in a deal valued at $48.7 billion that would create a consumer staples giant. The deal is a combination of cash and stock. Shares of Kenvue surged 18% in premarket trading Monday, while shares of Kimberly-Clark plunged 14%. A police officer was Monday morning shot and killed while at work at the Lokori Deputy County Commissioner’s office in Turkana County. Police said the assailants grabbed his AK47 rifle that was loaded with 30 bullets and escaped with it. Constable Christine Ouma was shot in the head and died instantly following the attack.
