A 38-year-old patient died by suspected suicide at Homa Bay County Referral Hospital on Sunday. Police said the man identified as Mike Juma hanged himself inside ward seven toilet where he was recuperating after an admission. The hospital Chief Executive Officer Dr. Vincent Oduor said that the patient who has been ailing from Tuberculosis was admitted in the isolation cube where he was receiving medical attention. Kenya has asked Tanzania to release detained former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga and two other activists. At least four people were found dead after drowning incidents reported separately in the country. Police said the victims included two minors. The incidents are under probe, police said. The first incident happened in Yatta, Machakos County, where a ten-year-old boy drowned in a dam. At least five people were Monday morning killed in a fierce fire incident in Mathare slums, Nairobi. Police said four other people are nursing serious wounds following the fire incident in Mathare B. A 20-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly murdered his father and set his body on fire in Nyamusi village, Nyamira County.
