A 42-year-old miner died after being trapped by a gold mining tunnel in Nyangoma, Bondo, Migori County. This is the latest such incident to occur in the gold mining sector, amid concerns about the safety of miners at large. The victim was identified as Micharl Mbago. A 32-year-old man was stabbed and killed in a fight between two neighbours in Ngong Town, Kajiado County. Police said Boniface Onyango and his neighbour were fighting in the Gichagi area when he was stabbed in the abdomen and back. An Australian pilot has had his conviction for the murder of an elderly camper overturned on appeal and will face a retrial. A two-and-a-half-year-old boy died after falling from the third floor of an apartment in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County. The boy was playing with other children on the balcony of the building when she suddenly fell off.
