A US judge has ordered the unsealing of grand jury transcripts from the 2005 and 2007 investigation into convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Police are investigating an incident where a man collapsed and died in a bar in Transmara, Narok County. Sweden’s right-wing government said Friday it was ending aid to four African countries and shutting three embassies in a major revamp to free up funds to help Ukraine. At least 56 people were Friday arrested in a swoop in Isulu, Ikolomani following a fatal clash during a public participation event over gold mining activities in the area. The clash left at least four people dead and dozens injured. Four people died and several others were left with serious injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in was involved in an accident in the Wakhungu area, of Nangina ward, Funyula constituency, Busia County. It is alleged that the vehicle, which belongs to the Sugar Zone Sacco and was heading from Bumala town towards Port Victoria, burst its front tyre, causing the driver to lose control. Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko got a temporary reprieve after the Tax Appeals Tribunal ordered the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) to immediately lift agency notices freezing his bank accounts. Two men were sentenced to 10 years in prison each, or pay a fine of Sh5 million apiece, after being found guilty of vandalising electricity equipment and unlawfully handling power infrastructure. Ndhiwa Senior Principal Magistrate’s Court on Friday handed the sentences to David Ochieng Lang’o and Godwin Omondi Oduogi. According to Kenya Power, Ochieng was arrested in July 2025 in a joint operation involving officers attached to the State body as well as the Migori Police Station. Two minors were killed in a fire incident in Ntulele, Narok County. Police said the two were aged nine and four. They were both girls. The nine-year-old girl was a grade two pupil at Enooseyia Primary School in the area. The incident happened on Thursday, December 4 daytime in the Kojanga area, police said. An unknown number of thugs raided a construction site and killed a night guard before escaping with assorted construction materials in Oloolua area, Kajiado County. The gang also hacked and seriously injured a second guard in the Thursday morning incident, police said.
