LSK Nairobi branch Thursday warned the public about the individual identified as Brian Mwenda Njagi who has been impersonating an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Norway has announced the closure of Embassies in Kampala, Uganda, and the Consulate General in Guangzhou, China. In a statement Friday, Norway said the number of diplomatic staff at selected other embassies will also be increased. Police are investigating an incident in which an employee of one of the airlines operating at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) allegedly disappeared with his colleagues’ pay. He went missing with some money, about Sh1.5 million meant to pay the staff. The staff of Astral Aviation reported to the police a colleague working as a loadmaster stole the money meant to cater for crew accommodation, navigation fees, ground handling fees, and crew catering. Google is looking to make passwords obsolete by prompting users to create passkeys to unlock accounts and devices with a fingerprint, face scan or pin number. Google said Tuesday that passkeys don’t require users to memorize passwords, are quicker to use and can offer more security. The Nairobi to Heathrow flight was intercepted by Royal Air Force (RAF) fighter jets and diverted to Stansted Airport over a “potential security threat”. A Mombasa court Thursday ordered the detention of suspected cult leader Paul Mackenzie and his 27 co-suspects. The suspects are linked to the Shakahola massacre which left over 400 people dead. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has arrived in Israel in a show of support after the weekend’s deadly attacks by Hamas.
