Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have today afternoon recovered a Range Rover from Steve Mbogo’s home, which is thought to have been imported fraudulently to evade tax. Upon carrying out preliminary investigations, the vehicle number plates were found to belong to a probox. The detectives most probably acted on a tip off from renowned blogger Robert Alai, who indicated that there was fake currency and gold in Mbogo’s house. Lamu County government is on the spot for allegedly looting millions of shillings through fictitious projects. According to a recent report by the Auditor General Edward Ouko, the county cannot account for more than Sh149 million spent during the 2017/2018 financial year. Ouko reveals that the amount was spent irregularly through a fictitious project that was allocated Sh148,472,193 without proper and legal budgeting procedures. An air traffic controller at Moi International Airport in Mombasa surprised his colleagues when he jumped to his death on Friday afternoon. According to eye witnesses, the traffic controller who was on duty during the landing of the body of a doctor who committed suicide in Cuba, jumped from the tower, dying on the spot.
