Police in Machakos County are looking for a man identified as Mutiso aka Kamondo who stabbed his 27-year-old pregnant girlfriend to death and fled on Saturday morning. K24 reports that the woman who works at a hotel in Mutituni Market, Machakos Town was on her way to work at 7AM before the incident happened. Kenyans across different parts of the country are experiencing power outage following a statement released by Kenya Power and Lightening Company (KPLC) dated Saturday, May 9, 2020. The Solicitor General Kennedy Ogeto through a legal advisory to Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has indicated that the gazette notice fell short of the instituted legal requirements. Coastal Regional Commissioner John Elungata has announced that three out of the five people who disappeared from Old Town, Mombasa after testing positive for COVID-19 have been arrested. One out of the five is dead while one person is still missing with the search intensified. A manhunt has been launched for five people and their families who have disappeared after having tested positive for Coronavirus in Old Town Mombasa, Governor Hassan Joho says. 39-year-old Michael Mungai, aka Cheupe who was abducted on Monday, May 4, 2020 outside Burma Market by suspected police officers has finally been found in Athi River. Reports indicated that Mungai went missing following his purported arrest that arose after a dispute with county government officials who intended to use a space meant for emergency parking to set up stalls. The bodies of Kenyans who died in the African Express plane that was shot down in Somalia are set to land in Nairobi this evening. In photos seeing by Kahawa Tungu, the bodies were being loaded onto a plane for Nairobi that is expected to land at 8 PM. The private aircraft went down after having been hit twice by Ethiopian forces rocket-propelled grenades in Bardale area in Baidoa on Monday, May 4, killing six people, 4 Kenyans and 2 Somalis. The Government has banned Movement in and out of Eastleigh, Old Town Mombasa to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
