Government Pathologist Dickson Mchana has revealed that the Kakamega Primary school children died of suffocation. According to the pathologist who is also based at the Kakamega Referral Hospital, the autopsy conducted on six of the children who were reported dead after the stampede attained the same results. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been reprieved after a magistrate ordered for unfreezing of five bank accounts belonging to him. Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku has ordered the Assets Recovery Agency to immediately unfreeze the bank accounts stating that the agency failed to seek extension following the orders that expired. Mutua has directed school administrators to ensure drivers adhere to the ban and not switch on the said radio stations while driving school children.
