The office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) has come clean on its recruitment and selection process following claims of religious bias. In a post on Twitter, a user had pointed out that the majority of those recruited at the ODPP were Muslims thus alluding to religious bias. Investigations into an alleged assassination attempt on Mombasa politician Ali Mwatsau who is also an aspirant in the coming elections have commenced, police have confirmed. In an incident yesterday, a vehicle that was carrying Mwatsau who is seeking a political seat in Mvita constituency was sprayed with over 15 bullets around Tudor area. A police Constable in Nyandarua County has been arrested for selling a phone he allegedly snatched from a civilian. Three people have been arrested following a robbery incident along Mombasa Road. The three reportedly robbed passengers in a Matatu of their mobile phones and other valuables at 2 am.
