A senior official from the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has been ambushed and murdered by unknown assailants along the Meru-Nanyuki road. This has been confirmed by the agency adding that the official, Bajila Kofa was the Nyeri company commander at KWS Aberdare. Reports indicate that Koga was on his way home after dropping his children at school. Kenya has announced 1,001 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours after a sample size of 9,065 was tested. The caseload is now at 238,852. This brings the positivity rate to 11.0% with the cumulative tests so far conducted now at 2,397,923. Of the new cases, 988 are Kenyans while 13 are foreigners. 504 males while 497 are females. Covid-19 curve is most likely to flatten within the next three weeks, the Ministry of Health has revealed. This, the Ministry says is due to the increasing numbers of people who have been vaccinated against the virus. For instance, in the recent weeks, the number of covid-19 infections have decreased. A family of five is dead after their home in Mashuru area, Kajiado County went up in flames on Thursday night. Reports indicate that the fire which started at 10 PM was triggered by a short-electric circuit. At the time, the mother of the house, her three children and a domestic worker were in the house. Four people have been grilled in Bungoma over the brutal murder of Chepyuk Location Chief, Geoffrey Kipsang. Kipsang was found brutally murdered and buried in a shallow grave on Friday, August 27, 2021, near a maize farm plantation, a few kilometers from his home. Polycarp Nyaosi Momanyi has been charged at Kibera Law Courts for issuing death threats to a woman who rejected his advances. Momanyi is said to have threatened to kill Ivene Anyango Ochieng at her house in Kangemi, Westlands on August 11, 2021.
