New data released by the police has revealed that at least 483 Kenyans have committed suicide within three months. In the list, Kiambu County tops with the highest number of people who have taken their lives through different methods. 23 students were on Sunday arrested in a bar in Mwea Constituency, Kirinyaga County ahead of the school reopening. Police reports indicate that the students were making merry, drinking and playing loud music at Club Season, Ngurubani bar. A woman has been arrested after a police constable believed to be her lover collapsed and died just minutes after leaving her house. The woman has been detained at Olenguruone Police Station in Kuresoi South, Nakuru County on the suspicion that she might have a hand in the death of police constable David Kurgat. Manase Musyoka has been named the new police commander in the Coastal Region in the latest police reshuffle. Musyoka replaces Paul Ndambuki who had been posted in Mombasa earlier in April. Earlier in January, over 120 traffic officers were moved in new efforts to streamline operations in the country. According to an internal memo sent to the officers on January 27, 2020, the changes were necessitated by many issues among them disciplinary matters.
