Kilifi County has disputed the Ministry of Health’s Statistics that it recorded 224 Covid-19 cases yesterday. According to Health Executive Charles Dadu, only 62 cases were recorded yesterday hence the statistics given by MOH were false. Yesterday, Kenya recorded 692 Covid-19 infections in 24 hours after 6,883 samples were tested. In terms of County distribution, the Health Ministry announced that Kilifi was leading with the highest infections of 224. Wanted killer cop Caroline Kangogo has shot herself dead at her parent’s home in Elgeiyo Marakwet, Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya has confirmed. Kenya has announced 837 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours after 7,545 tests were tested. The caseload is now at 191,020. This brings the country’s positivity rate to 11.1%, with the cumulative tests so far conducted now at 2,036,472. Sadly, 9 patients have succumbed to the virus bringing the death toll to 3,746. Two separate accidents along the Mwea-Embu Highway have left two people dead, three others nursing serious injuries. According to Mwea-East sub-county police commander Daniel Kitavi, the accidents happened yesterday evening. Kenya has announced 480 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours after 5,120 samples were tested. The country’s caseload is now at 190,183. Masten Milimu Wanjala, a 20-year-old man has admitted to the kidnappings, execution of two minors in cold blood in Kabete. Wanjala was earlier arrested by the detectives from the DCI and apprehended at Shauri Moyo for suspicion of killing two children aged 13 and 12 on diverse dates. 99 students and 4 teachers from Muruku Secondary school have tested positive for Covid-19 Laikipia Chief Officer for Medical Services and Health Dr. Donald Mugoi has confirmed. Reports indicate that one of the students exhibited the symptoms of Covid-19 and upon testing 267 students and 17 teachers, the aforementioned turned positive.
