Ex-Presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot and his wife, Lorna Grace Wanjiru Gatheru are caught up in Sh600,000 motor vehicle fraud. Reports by a local publication reveal that the couple defrauded Third Way Alliance Executive Director Kamau Andrew Njoroge a vehicle valued at Sh600,000. Njoroge, through his lawyer Edwin Saluny has sought the help of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) to have Aukot charged for the aforementioned matter. A Senior Police Officer based in Nakuru was arrested yesterday by Detectives from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) over graft allegations. According to Nation, the senior officer has been identified as Molo Officer Commanding Police Station (OCS) Anne Kanori. Teachers who marked the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams in April are furious over delayed pay. A former employee at Mediheal hospital has been awarded Sh2 million by the court for having been tested for HIV/AIDS without her consent. The hospital will thus pay Sh2 million as part of compensation for the violation of her rights with an earlier set aside award of Sh900,000 by the HIV tribunal in a November 2020 decision. The fourth wave of the Coronavirus pandemic will peak in mid-July, the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) has predicted. The Nairobi County Police Commander Augustine Nthumbi has revealed that a multi-agency taskforce has been formed to handle the rising crime cases within Nairobi and its environs. Charles Mwenda, a Meru man who was forced to spend the night at the police station with the body of his wife has been awarded Sh1.5 million by the court. Through a statement released by the Minnetrista Police Department, it was confirmed that Oyugi was found dead in a single motor vehicle crash.
