A man charged with stealing women’s innerwear from Nairobi’s Sasa Mall has been freed on Sh100,000 bond. Appearing before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Martha Nanzushi, Caleb Onyango denied the charges and pleaded for lenient bond terms arguing that he was from a humble background. He was thus freed on Sh50,000 cash bail or a bond of Sh100,000 with the case set for mention on June 4, 2021. A suspected Al Shabaab attack in Wajir has left a class 7 pupil from Khorof Harar primary school dead. According to police reports, Musa who claims to work for Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) extorted money from businessman Abass Ibrahim Khalif and published accusations about the said businessman on his Facebook page. According to the pathologist report, conducted by Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor, the 35-year-old structural engineer and proprietor of Infinity Developers’ body had indications that he was hit by a blunt object on the head. The body of Somali-American businessman Bashir Mohamud Mohammed has been transferred to Nairobi ahead of autopsy and burial. Reports indicate that the body arrived at Umash Funeral home at around midnight with the autopsy set to be conducted in the morning hours of today. “An autopsy will be performed by the Chief Government Pathologist,” the family lawyer Charles Madowo said on Sunday, adding that the body will then be released to the family for burial according to Islamic rights. A suspected thug has been lynched by an angry mob in Matuga, Kwale County following a botched robbery incident.
