Mwangi was arrested on Monday over forgery of a letter purported to have originated from a Cabinet Secretary. Emurrua Dikirr MP Johanna Ngeno was on Tuesday arrested for allegedly inciting locals and leading protests over the looming Mau forest eviction. A Kiambu Court has detained, Sarah Kamotho, estranged wife of missing Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen, for 12 more days to allow the prosecution conclude investigations on the matter. Kiambu Magistrate Brian Khaemba was unlawfully suspended, the Employment and Labour Relations Court ruled on Friday. Justice Byrum Ongaya ruled that the suspension letter dated June 13, 2019, against Khaemba was illegal. Embattled Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) Secretary-General Wilson Sossion has been removed from office.
