Three of the four suspects in the Garissa University terror attack have been found guilty. Milimani law courts chief magistrate Francis Andayi found the three, Mohamed Ali Abdikar, Hassan Aden Hassan and Rashid Charles Mberesero guilty of the attack that left 148 people dead four years ago. However, the fourth suspect, Sahar Diriye, was acquitted. Among those who were killed were students, staff and police officers. The attack also left over 80 people with serious injuries. President Uhuru Kenyatta’s sister Kristina Pratt has sued former captain of Karen Country Club, Richard Thande, for a second time for failing to clear Ksh3 million debt. Mrs Pratt had taken Thande to court last year for failing to repay Ksh5 million debt. Kenyans seeking Visa and other consulate services from the United States Embassy in Nairobi will now be able to pay for the services using the new Kenyan currency notes. The arrest of Blogger Robert Alai on Tuesday, for allegedly posting a gory picture of Kenyan fallen soldiers, has received wide condemnation by a section of social media users. The United States Embassy in Kenya has announced that it’s currently not accepting the recently launched new currency notes. In a statement on Tuesday, the embassy stated that Kenyans seeking consular services will continue to pay using the old banknotes until the United States fully adopts procedures to accept the new Kenyan shillings. “The Embassy of the United States is currently developing procedures to accept the new Kenyan shillings. Kenya Airways flight KQ609 was on Monday evening forced to make an emergency landing in Mombasa after developing a system malfunction minutes after take off. The aircraft had departed Moi International Airport at 1754hrs and was airborne 8 minutes past 1800hrs. Naftali Kinuthia, the prime suspect in the gruesome murder of Moi University student Ivy Wangechi, has been denied bail by Eldoret High Court. Three more people have been isolated at Kericho County Referral Hospital after a woman was admitted at the hospital on Sunday with Ebola-like symptoms.
