Governors have taken issue with the recent arrest of Kiambu colleague Ferdinand Waititu over alleged misappropriation of county funds, terming  it inhuman. Waititu was arrested on Thursday at his residence in Nairobi hours after detectives from the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) raided his Runda and Garden Estate homes. President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday morning made an impromptu visit to the Embakasi Inland Container Depot (ICD) where seized containers are being detained. According to a statement from State House, the president’s visit was prompted by distress calls from traders whose goods have been confiscated. Kenya Airways Chief Executive Officer Sebastian Mikosz is set to step down before the end of his three-year contract.
