The main suspect in Murang’a Prison Warder Pauline Wangari’s murder has made shocking revelations that preceded the 24-year-old’s brutal killing. Pauline, described by her friends as a “beauty queen who loved partying”, was found dead on Wednesday at her rented house in Kiharu. Her body had several wounds on the head and chest. Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday reportedly confronted Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho for allegedly sabotaging his functions across the country. Al-Shabaab militants holding two Cuban doctors kidnapped in Mandera County are now demanding Ksh150 million for safe return of the medics. The ransom demand was communicated through local elders  who traveled to a remote place between the towns of Buale and El-Ade in Jubaland region of Somalia, where they were last spotted. Investigation into the murder of Murang’a GK Prison warder Pauline Wangari has taken a new twist after a CCTV footage from the deceased’s rented house in Kiharu emerged on Wednesday. The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has busted 57,600 litres of ethanol declared as imported spaghetti at the Inland Container Deport in Nairobi. According to reports, the consignment imported from the United Arab Emirates, has an estimated tax value of more than Sh15 million. The ethanol was filled in 288 drums and loaded into four 20-foot containers, before its shipment. A driver died on Wednesday morning after his lorry went up in flames following a head-on collision with a truck at Kenani area near Mtito Andei on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. Confirming the incident, Makueni Police Commander Joseph Naipeyan said the driver was burned beyond recognition. Motorists and households will now have to dig dipper into their pockets after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced increased fuel prices on Tuesday. In the latest review, Super petrol, Diesel and Kerosene prices increases by Sh5.43, Sh2.24 and Sh2.40 per litre respectively. The new prices will be effective midnight. Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia (PSZ) has reportedly submitted popular spirit Konyagi for tests following abnormal sexual effect claims. Speaking on Monday, PSZ chairman Jerome Kanyika confirmed that samples of the spirit have been submitted to Zambia Medicine Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) for examination.
