Two people died and several others left with serious injuries after an accident occurred in Itumbe Market, Kisii County on Tuesday night. Reports indicate a police car in pursuit of a matatu rammed into a crowd of people at the popular market. A 31-year-old man in Rachuonyo East Sub-County, Homa Bay County reportedly took his own life on Monday night after his wife failed to answer his phone calls on Easter Monday. Erick Ooko, who hails from Kadie Village in Kawuor Location, is said to have ingested  an insecticide known as Triatix. This comes in the wake of churches facing backlash for entertaining politics during services and receiving alleged proceeds from corruption during fundraisers. There was panic in Rusinga Island, Homa Bay County on Monday evening after a group of fishermen netted three bombs in Lake Victoria. Locals believe the bombs were left behind by colonialists. A children’s court in Mombasa has ordered former Lamu West MP Julius Ndegwa to clear rent arrears amounting to Sh140,000 to avert eviction of alleged family from a rented apartment in Nyali. Thirteen people have been confirmed dead and several others injured after a church collapsed during an Easter Service in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Reports indicate 29 faithfuls of the Pentecostal Church were rushed to hospital after the Friday incident.
