Angry passengers caused a stir on Limuru Nairobi Road after they attacked the driver of the matatu they were traveling in for reckless driving. In a video seen by Kahawa Tungu the irate passengers are seen chasing the driver, accusing him of putting their lives in danger. Nairobi County government has extended JamboPay Contract by one month in bid to avert financial crisis at City Hall. JamboPay is an online payment gateway, tasked with revenue collection at City hall. Its contract expired on Saturday April 6. Three suspected thieves were on Sunday morning lynched in botched robbery in Kapsaos village, Kericho County. During the incident, irate villagers also torched the suspects’ get-away vehicle. Kericho County Police Commander James Mugera confirmed the incident saying the three were among a gang of five cornered breaking into a local house at around 3am. “The suspects who were five in number had arrived at the scene aboard a Toyota Probox registration No KCC 768A, white in color. The Kenya Bureau Of Standards (KEBS) has revealed that Nuteez Peanut is safe for human consumption days after it was pulled off the shelves over aflatoxin claims. In a statement on Friday, KEBS said the ban on the peanut has been lifted. “Suspension of the Standardization Mark permit no. 965 for Peanut Butter branded Nuteez has been lifted,” KeBS said. Detectives drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have arrested a police officer linked to an incident of store breaking and stealing at a Chinese Construction company. Silas Kipkoech Kosgei, an Administration Police officer with the rank of constable at Kigumo, is implicated for the break in where properties worth millions were stolen. In the coming days, you may face criminal charges if caught buying goods from hawkers in Nairobi, a new county bill proposes. National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has declined Amani National Congress (ANC) party’s request to have the nomination of Godfrey Osotsi as Member of Parliament revoked. President Uhuru Kenyatta has declared that any officer who will be prosecuted for engaging in corruption in the country will be removed from office. The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) has shut down 86 pharmacies in Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma and Busia counties over illegal operations.
